When first navigating to the Script Migrations page, there will be an empty list of scripts. To view a list of scripts to migrate, open the dropdown selector for the Source Environment and select the appropriate source environment. Once selected, Forklift will fetch the current list of scripts out of the source.
From the list you can filter the scripts by platform and also use the name filter to search for specific scripts.
Migration is simple using this tool. Simply select each script for migration and select a destination environment. The UI will highlight the selections and show a Migrate button. Once all the desired scripts have been selected, clicking the Migrate button will begin the migration process. Each row will display the status and a progress indicator as needed. Once the process is finished, success or error messages will display where appropriate.
For scripts that already exist in a destination environment, a dialog will ask if an update should be performed. The search criteria is based on the script name and the managed organization group id. This is meant to prevent duplication in a specific organization group while still allowing for migration to a sibling or parent organization group.
The details of a script can be viewed by selecting only one script from the list. Next click details and a new dialog will show the script details once fetched from the source.
If a script export is needed, then the application can export a script as a json file. This can be done on the details screen. Simply click the Export Meta Data button and a json file will be created with the script information and saved to the downloads folder of the device.
